In the age of suspicion of Vietnamese media including blogging, I realize that it is important to lay essential things out. To me, blogging in general and web technology review in specific are not only a personal passion but also a mission. The mission to dissect the complicated bulk into simple pieces so that ordinary users can have practical insight into a variety of services. The mission to help companies further improve and develop their products through critical reviews. In short, I take my work seriously.
While the opinions in my blog may be personally biased, I hereby disclose that:
- I am currently not employed in any form by any of the companies discussed in my blog.
- I do not own any stock in any of the companies whose services I cover. I own stock in one Vietnamese construction company whose involvement in technology is perhaps nothing more than its internal system.
- I do not accept any cash, or anything else of value (dinner, gifts, special membership, etc), from the companies whose services I cover, or from their affiliates or agencies.
- I am involved with a student-run nonprofit on an unpaid basis. The organization’s focus is on education, youth and study abroad. If I happen to write about entrepreneurship, career or businesses in Vietnam, it is solely to provide young students insights into the real world.
Should my situation change, I am obliged to make accurate, timely update.
To be frank, I care about my credibility more than anyone. I have always sought to live up to the high standards set by my previous involvement at major media and financial services organizations. Credibility is more than just personal reputation. Credibility determines the value the public bestows upon my work and my words.
